Mr wang is the famous educationist and composer who merely creates piano works in our country. He graduated from the piano department of Shanghai Music College and then continued to work there. During his creative career over 40 years, he created tens of works which won universal praises, like, Five Yunnan Ballads, Four Ballads in North of Shanxi, Mei Hua San nong can ancient melody, Handreds of Birds' Worship for Phoenix and Liuyang River. As these works have become the representatives of the typical Chinese style, they are usually played in internal and external stages. His works are of high professionality and artistic values. This paper, making his works, especially the adaptations as his investigative object, mainly makes analysis and research from the counterpoint means. It possesses practical and theoretical meanings for that explores the characters fused in national style during the process of music creation, uses some techniques in modern times for reference, develops the creative thoughts and yet flourishes our national music creation.The whole paper contains introduction, body and conclusion. The introduction mainly introduces Mr Wang's creative career and the survey of his creation. The body consists of 2 parts. One mainly does research into the harmonic techniques in his works from different angles, such as chord frame, harmonic process and so on. The other one briefly analyzes the national characters of his works. The conclusion makes a sammarization to the national style and individual character in the creation of Mr Wang's piano works, and to the inspiration of them to the nowadays music creation.
