A Designing Of The Middle School Students' Responsibility Questionnaire

Responsibility is an important personality trait, responsibility is one's positively fulfilling behavior tendency and self-consciousness of his duties for the defects and the society he belongs, the roles he plays. It is very valuable both in theory and practice to study it. The main aim of the study is to develop a Middle School Students' Responsibility Questionnaire.Based on overviews of former researches, the theoretical hypothesis was constructed. The exploring factor analysis of the preliminary questionnaire, with which 747 students were investigated, formed the formal questionnaire. After investigating 1009 students with the formal questionnaire, the model turned out to be legitimate and fitting by means of the confirmatory factor analysis and socio-demography. The Middle School Students' Responsibility Questionnaire was examined by many indexes. The main results of this study are as follows:1. Responsibility of middle school students is a multi-level and multi-dimensional model. It consists of three levels of global responsibility, general responsibility and special responsibility. The global responsibility has the highest abstract degree; the general responsibility which includes two aspects of duty and defect has secondary level of abstraction; and the lowest level of abstraction is represented by special responsibility through five aspects of academic, family, interpersonal, collective and social responsibility, and also reflecting the two aspects of duty and defect as well.2. The internal consistency coefficient (Cronbach a coefficient), split-halfreliability, test-retest reliability, content validity, construct validity and criterion-related validity of the Middle School Students' Responsibility Questionnaire which was based on the theoretical hypothesis were good. This questionnaire could be used to test the responsibility of middle school students.
