Research On The Verification Of Sex Role And Its Relationship With Mental Health And Social Adaptability

Objective To study the relationship of sex role, mental health and social adaptability, and to verify the validity of the self report scale with external structure on identification the sex role of college students. Methods Adopt an inventory and Implicit Association Test (IAT) to do the experimental research. Results (1) Among the university student, there are significant differences in four kinds sex role distribution. The majority is the androgynous. The next in order is the masculine, the feminine and the undifferentiated. (2)The androgynous process male and female positive words well, the masculine and the feminine process male positive words and female positive words well respectively, while the undifferentiated process the two kinds of words poorly. (3)Four kinds of sexes role have significant differences in mental health and social adaptability. The androgynous have higher lever in mental health and social adaptability, it is the best sex role model.
