The college students' development concerns much about the development of motherland in the future. In recent years, many college students crisis have occurred and warned to us the importance of the university students' psychological health. The studies conducted before have told us the adaptability to the new environment contributed largest to the college freshmen' psychological health, therefore, this study is conducted to explore the relationship of the social self-efficacy, the social support gained in the new environment and the levels of adaptability and subjective well-being in the new environment.This research is a longitudinal tracked study, and the data were collected in four different time. Finally 475 freshmen subjects in a comprehensive university in east China joined in this research. The study is conducted mainly through the questionnaire method. With the careful selection and arrangement of the questionnaire, The Chinese Social Self-efficacy Scale, The Perceived Social Support Scale, The Academic Adaptability Scale, The Interpersonal Adaptability Scale, The Psychological Adaptation Scale, The Satisfaction with Life Scale and The Positive and Negative Emotions Scale are used in the formal studies.All the scales which are used in the formal research are proved to have good reliability and validity. At the same time, through the structure equation model the researcher also found, the persons with high levels of social self-efficacy are more likely to gain more social support; the social support gained in the new environment can predict the individuals'adaptability to the new environment; the adaptation levels in the new environment can predict the freshmen's subjective well-being; the social support gained in the new environment partially mediates the relationship of the social self-efficacy and the adaptability in all aspects; the adaptation levels in the new environment completely mediates the relationship of social support and individuals' subjective well-being.In theory, this study provides new ideas for the freshmen's psychological health education study, and expands the social self-efficacy research scope; in practice, the results of this study can be applied directly to the college freshmen's psychological health education work practice, thus this research has important guiding significance and application value in the college freshmen's psychological health education.
