The Ideology In The Aesthetic Horizon

"Ideology" is a very important category in the current research on humanistic social science. The relationship between aesthetics, art and ideology is one of the most questionable issues. This subject is unfresh in our country. However, for a long time, the major words are restricted to the verification of aesthetic ideology of literature itself. This method of research can neither explain the features of a specific text ,and indicate the historical difference or aesthetic difference of the work, nor explain how literature utilizes, demonstrates and constitutes ideology. The more important point is that the concept of "aesthetic ideology" itself has some defects in both connotation and extension, so that it cannot solve the problems encountered during the research effectively. For this reason, the concept of "the ideology in the aesthetic horizon" is proposed in this thesis. It not only refers to the ideological core hidden in various and complex aesthetic forms but also regards aesthetic forms as the specific objects of ideology. Based on this concept, the object studied in this thesis is an integration that include both the ideological concept in literature and art theory and aesthetics, and the perceptual components of ideological symbolic forms.Starting from the logical point of ideological language symbolism, this thesis presents the correlations of ideology and "the ideology in the aesthetic horizon". First, ideology and "the ideology in the aesthetic horizon" are same at logical relationship. Second, aesthetic field can mythologize and naturalize ideology. Third, aesthetic field is one of the ideological perchs. Art as a kind of ideological state machine,is a section of social relation reproduction. But aesthetic field will change ideology by it own law,, and revolt ideology in the process of production. All of this demonstrate that aesthetic theory and practice are important fields for enhancing and re-generating the practical function of ideology. In the meantime, ideological activity is the source of aesthetic fashion variation.In all of arts, literature has the most closely related to ideology. Because both the concepts of literature and ideology are belong to modernity category ,and they all try to express a kind of real sense of imaginary .The more important point is that the essence of literature and ideology all hide behind the language, if we want to learn there real connotation, we must reduction there language. So, by taking literature as an example ,we can specifically analyzes "the ideology in the aesthetic horizon". This thesis regard some elements, just as language, words, structure, style and rhetoric as well as authors, works and readers, those usually be regards as abstract concepts, as objects of historical relationship, these elements's ideological nature will be developed only in histoyical field. This is a diachronic analysis of how the synchronic structure of literature utilizes, demonstrates and constitutes ideology, and also the main part of the thesis.The significance of the research on ideology in aesthetic field is that the research not only helps us understand the historical essence of ideology and various aesthetic phenomena theoretically , but also helps people re-grasp the active political force of aesthetics.The following questions are analyzed and answered in this thesis by trying to use the research achievements obtained in the West: What are the values and functions of aesthetic activity acting as ideology? How does ideology exist in aesthetic field? How does ideology function in literature? These are the questions about ideological theory in literature that need to be solved urgently in my opinion.The meaning and uniqueness of the thesis is to question and analyze the leading proposition "Literature is the aesthetic ideology of language" in the academic circles in our country and further to verify the expandable proposition "Aesthetics is a complete ideology.
