In the Introduction part, I give a brief introduction about the situation andachievements of “Han Feizi Study” in different angles as well as connected researchesof HongKong, Taiwan, Japan and western scholars. Besides introduction, this paper isdivided into4parts. In the first part, I have a study on the theoretical origin andfoundation of Hanfeizi aesthetic ideology and reach the conclusion that the cultureand philosophical view of his times made Han Fei “extremism” in thinking. In thesecond part, I have a discussion about aesthetic judgment of Hanfeizi. Under theimpact of “extremism” way of thinking,“function” becomes parameters of judgment;“investigation” becomes methods of judgment and “image”“emotion” and “interest”influence the results of aesthetic judgment. In the third part, I have a research onaesthetic style of Hanfeizi. Hanfeizi is not written just by HanFei while it has rigorousand coherent styles which make itself “harmonious” and “precise”. Rhetorical styleand figures in allegories of Hanfeizi have great artistic value at that age. In the lastpart, I have an analysis of historical influence and contemporary value of Hanfeiziaesthetic ideology. In a word,“Aesthetic Utilitarianism”, which occupies an importantposition in the history of Chinese and western aesthetic development, is the center ofHanfeizi aesthetic ideology. This concept becomes increasingly perfect atcontemporary time and gradually generates new conflicts with the concepts such as“the aestheticization of daily life”“consumerism” and “aesthetic application study”.
