ZhaoShengtwho is a famous revolutionary, had made great contribution in the revolution of 1911. On the basis of existing study, this paper systematically and deeply analyses the position and effect that Zhao has in the revolution of 1911. The content of it contains four parts:The first part reveals the. forming process of Zhao's revolutionary thoughts. Reflecting the changing of political environment in modern Chinese history, his thoughts evolved through three phrases: the Patriotism period, the reformism period and the revolutionary-thoughts period.The second part mainly discusses the course when Zhao found his way of revolution, after he had been a revolutionary. There, his mode to revolutionize the New Army had mainly formed.The third part describes the revolts that Zhao launched in GuangZhou, * such as the ones in 1910and in 1911. It is the main stage that Zhao contributed himself to the revolution. In this phrase, Zhao established his authority in the revolutionaries in GuangDong in practice.The forth part is mainly on the estimation of Zhao, which confirms his contribution to the revolution in several aspects.
