The Research On Feature Of Traditional Chinese Psychotherapy

As one of the places of worldwide civilization origin, China has made great and significant influence on human civilization with rich and long-standing Chinese culture. Psychologists G. Murphy and G S. Brett used to praise China as "the first hometown of psychology".There are rich and characteristic psychology and psychotherapy ideas containing in Chinese culture. It is hoped to clear out the scientific principles in traditional Chinese psychotherapy and thus contribute somewhat to the combination of Western and Chinese indigenous psychotherapy by discarding the dross and selecting the essential. This study also may shed light on reorganization of Chinese indigenous psychotherapy system for Chinese distinguishing psychology and behavior. Furthermore, this study may do some support for the conformity of psychotherapy with native data and idea in China. The result of this study suggests that the psychological clinic should consciously attach more importance to Chinese indigenous psychotherapy idea, which may promote the theorization of Chinese indigenous psychotherapy system with practical evidence reversely.Within Chinese culture, this thesis, on one hand, will macroscopically explore Chinese indigenous psychological therapy origin, its cultural implication and its humanism tradition of the ideal state as to Nature and Man; on the other hand, based on the psychotherapy idea containing in Chinese literature, history, philosophy and medicine, this article will try to theorize body-and-mind conformity value of Chinese indigenous psychotherapy, the model, principle and goal of psychotherapy and as well as how to deal with the relation between psychology and medication,and even try to abstract scientific and modern value with newly annotation and understanding and outline traditional Chinese psychotherapy idea.
