Gadamer's Philosophical Hermeneutics, although unconscious to develop the understanding methodology, contains the splendid theoretical sources. The analysis of artistic experience from the perspective of Philosophical Hermeneutics is indicative of some methodology. The writer takes the view that its theoretical sources contain more elements of methodology: First, it not only inherits the ontology turn combining the theories of understanding and existence, but also develops its own language ontology inspired by the linguistic turn of Heidegger. Second, it inherits critically the Phenomenology method of existential Hermeneutics of Heidegger and the viewpoint of experiential horizon and intersubjectivity of Husserl. Third, its inheritance of thought dialectics of Hegel is reflected on the negative Hermeneutical experience, of which Dialectic of dialogue is characteristic, for Logic of question and answer proves that Hermeneutics is the dialectics about question and answer. At last, the writer believes that the destination of Philosophical Hermeneutics is language, and that the foundation of language is shown in the fusion of Phenomenology and dialectics and thus language bears the nature of" play" and "dialogue".Since Philosophical Hermeneutics contains the splendid significance of the methodology, it offers some principles of operation for the interpretation of texts. By employing these basic principles and operation principles, the paper makes a careful analysis of MengZi as an example.
