On Relationship Between Gadamer's Hermeneutics And Hegel's Dialectic

The relation between Gadamer's Philosophical Hermeneutics and Hegel's dialectic is an important issue that we can not evade. It is helpful for us to carry through an in-depth study on this issue. In this way, we can understand the course of development of Hermeneutics. At the same time, it is helpful for us to understand the influence and significance of Hegel's dialectic in contemporary philosophy.The thesis analyses and compares Gadamer's Philosophical Hermeneutics with Hegel's dialectic, try to open out the relation between Gadamer's Philosophical Hermeneutics and Hegel's dialectic, in order to revealed how Gadamer develop the useful and discard the useless from Hegel's dialectic. Gadamer found Philosophical Hermeneutics accordingly. The influence of Hegel's dialectic to Gadamer is profound, the spirit of this kind of dialectic has permeated in his bookmaking which influences us a lot.In addition to the preface, the thesis comprises of four parts. The first part discusses the relation between Gadamer's Experience and Hegel's Experience. The basic thought of this part is, " experience " theory, as Gadamer indicated , have occupied a important position in his hermeneutic theory .Gadamer criticized and inherited Hegel's experience theory, furthermore ,he developed Hegel's experience theory, Gadamer pointed out that the hermeneutic experience not only has "negation" essence but also has the dialectical essence with " finiteness " and" openness".The second part discusses the relation between Gadamer's effective-historical consciousness and Hegel's integration dialectic. Traditional Hermeneutics is taking Schleiermacher as representative, they believe that the highest goal of understanding is "reconstruct". Only in this way can we resume the true meaning of the text. Gadamer criticized the traditional Hermeneutics theory, he believe that the reconstruction of the original would be no more than the recovery of a dead meaning. We can not take the original meaning of author as purpose. Only through the interpreter's self-understanding can the meaning of text realized. Gadamer has taken notice of the integrate power of Hegel's dialectic. He lead Hegel's dialectic into Hermeneutics in order to overcome the problem exists in the traditional Hermeneutics.
