Guided by Marxism, taking the diplomatic relations system between the late 14th Century and the early 17th Century as the background, this dissertation makes a study of the relationships among China, Japan and Ryukyu of Ming Dynasty. It emphasizes on analyzing the whole process of Japan coveting , then penetrating and finally invading Ryukyu, making Ryukyu its vassal kingdom during Japan expanding its influence in 16th Century. It also illustrates the historical factors of the evolution of conflicts between Ryukyu and Japan, revealing the essence of Japanese expansion and exploring the deep influence of the evolution of relationships among China , Japan and Ryukyu on East Asia international order In Ming Dynasty. Meanwhile, this dissertation also makes an observation of the historical orientation of Ryukyu Kingdom and the influence of Japan pirates on the relationships between Japan and Ryukyu after the Qingchang Battle.
