The light and illumination design is one of the most important modern designs. It is closely linked to people's daily life and its development process is also a miniature of human civilization advance process. Now it is improving and beautifying human's living space and environment ceaselessly. This text aims to analyze the variance of light designs from the environmental and humanized angle which accordingly makes light designs extend to the lighted design range, and enable people to understand the concept of light designs better.I. The civilization heritance of traditional light design and humanized featuresThe primer folk light designs mainly considered practicability in ancient China and the material was most argil. Designers needn't consider more about figurations and stripes because of the darkness of light itself. The quality of most lamps was rough, but the simple figurations still outpoured the simple beauty of ancient Chinese tradition. From three Kingdoms' period to North and South dynasties, porcelain lamps began being fordized and taking the place of bronze lamps. The change of material of course led to revolutions of producing skills, while the development of society changed people's aesthetic interest and standard. These changes made the figurations and stripes different from old times. More decorations began to appear on porcelain lamps, such as the animal pictures of sheep, lions, and bears and the plant figuration of lotus flower stripes and so on. The use of these figurations made the light designs more press close to lives and more interesting. The Tang and Song dynasties were the best-off periods in the development of our feudal society, when the wide development of porcelain made the porcelain lamps have more space to develop. The Ming and Qing dynasties were the developing periods of commercial techniques, so there were more kinds of lamps than Tang and Song. The palace lanterns which owned illumination and appreciation were at the height of power and splendor, and folk ceramic lamps, metal lamps, vitreous lamps were made and decorated splendidly.II. It is no longer a pure illumination tool, and is extending into every field of people's lives deeply and widely. The development process of light designs not only embodies the aesthetic view of a time, but also is a miniature of the time's science and economics and artistic and scientific achievement. It is also a successive process of a country's civil civilization. Buildings are the uppermost sight of modern cities.
