Nominal predicate sentence ( NPS is for its short form ) is of a very common type of sentences that is controversial in Chinese language. There are very few direct researches into the semantic relationship of NPS, most of which discuss a certain aspect on a limited scope. The three-level theory advanced by the scholars promoted the researches of Chinese semantics to an outstanding position. Especially the high hierarchy semantic relationship theory promoted the researches of Chinese semantics even further. But the researches of the high hierarchy semantic relationship of NPS are not systematic nowadays. To make a breakthrough in this situation and research into the semantic relationship of NPS more deeply, in this dissertation the author surveyed the high hierarchy semantic relationship of NPS tentatively on the basis of the researches of the forerunners and the sages of our times. The traditional analysis of semantic type of NPS are mainly about the lexical sense of noun. Although there are some articles on the analysis of it from the angle of grammatical sense, the articles are very few and not comprehensive thus causing the semantic research lag. The NPS that refered to in the dissertation is extensive meaningful one in which there is nominal word in its predicate location or predicate-verb location, where single noun, nominal word group, adverb-noun structure, number structure and "de" word structure function as predicates. In the dissertation the NPS is classified by 12 kinds of semantic types according to lots of analysis of language material. The former 6 kinds are static NPS and the latter 6 kinds are dynamic NPS. Each kind is further classified according to its semantic feature. So we have summed up the features of each kind according to the meticulous analysis of 12 kinds of NPS by the methods of definition, classification, alteration, comparison, induction, etc. On the basis the dynamic of semantic of noun is proclaimed.
