JuhuaJi is most widely known and best refects the style of Li Jianwu's criticisms. This thesis taking Juhua criticism as main object of analysis, explores Li Jianwu's style of criticism in two aspects: First, the character of culture of Beijing school's criticism is the background of the Juhua criticism, including the standpoint of literary departmentalism, the thinking made integrating the east and west culture and their efforts for cultural enlightenment. Meanwhile, the recognition of the peculiar position of criticism and the combination of humanism and realism marks Li Jianwu's position in modern literature history. Secondly, Juhua criticism has many things incommon with traditional criticism: emphasis on practices not on theories; notion of equality, tolerance;taking writers as teachers and friends; ralues humanism mixed with his concern for reality and philosophy exploration; intuitive logic which is free in thinking; concise and elegant who appreciates poetry by poetry.
