Multifarious Forms Of Loan-word Existing In Mandarin

This paper holds the view that a new phenomenon is arising in the history of Chinese loan-word. We call the new phenomenon "multifarious forms of loan-word" and divide it into two part : opposite multifarious forms of loan-word and isolated multifarious forms of loan-word existing hi the big mandarin area. We probe opposite multifarious forms of loan-word in mainland from there angles : language change; language and culrule; language and society. We also have the oppinion that there is rational grounds for the existing of opposite multifarious forms of loan-word according rhetoric and translation skill.The paper advances some original proposal for standardization about loan-word on the basis of the study above : In certain area such as mainland, multifarious forms of loan-word shoud not necessarily be standardized. They may be necessary for language; In the big mandarin area, we should differentiate proper noun, technical terms and common words.
