The Research On Yao Nation Culture And Design Of GuangXi

With the advent of the advanced sciences and techniques and the era of information, the design tends to be globalized . Nowadays, while people call for peace and advocate environmental protection, the nation-specific things become more and more valuable. The design innovation based on the national culture is a good way which is obtained by designers. The national things belong to the world. Pursuing the national characteristics has become a fashipn in the design field. The ancestors of the Yao in GuangXi designed and made all kinds of products, which are of great value in art and design, and provide rich and precious materials for the design, are imbued with the Yao culture, folk-tales and Chinese traditional culture, and becoming popular among people in the world. The Gan-Lan buildings, which are designed and built by themselves, and are compatible with hilly environments, the Diao-Jiao buildings having a unique style and the beautiful design in building ornament are precious materials for studying the residential environment for modern people. It is significant for the development of the national design and the national industry to study the culture and design of the Yao in GuangXi and explore the national culture and design. Firstly, this thesis introduce the survey of the Yao and studies and analyzes the Yao's folk religious belief, the social customs and the traditional craftwork and design. Secondly, it studies the culture and designs of the building decoration, in which I take those of the Cha-Shan Yao in GuangXi as an example. This thesis analyzes and stud ies the traditional residential doors, windows, and the indoor of the Cha-Shan Yao in detail. Thirdly, it details the dress culture and design of the Yao, in which Cha-Shan Yao's is discussed in detail. The thesis studies cultural meaning, design meaning and buildup, and also compares today's dress with the ancient one, so that we can know the traditions and changes, design and making of the Cha-Shan Yao. By studying and analyzing the design culture and style or patterns of the Yao, we can know the design meaning, the features of the design art, organizations, stylistic feature and cultural function. Finally, based on the culture and design study of the Yao, I redesign and innovate the typical traditional patterns of the Yao, and then give some applied instances. As the same time, I design some modern cultural products of the Yao, from the perspective of the traditional culture and the design of the Yao, so as to advocate designers to do much more and further study on the national culture and design, and then we can promote the economic development...
