On the new developments of emotional psychology, especially the researches of the effects of emotion on social cognition, this thesis summarizes the defects of the researches on emotion and moral development, and analyzes the effects of emotional experience on moral cognition from several aspects, such as moral knowledge learning, moral judgment, moral belief and moral self consciousness, etc. Then, in order to explore the effects of emotional experience on moral cognition further, the author studies the relationship of emotional experience and moral self awareness and its influential factor by means of questionnaires. Results indicate that(1) emotional experience can influence the awareness of moral self significantly, and(2) behavioral situation, behavioral intention and attribution inclination are important influential factors of moral emotion and moral self awareness. At last, the author concludes the embodiments and functional limitations of the effects of emotional experience on moral cognition, and discusses their functioning in moral education from educational ideas and methods.
