Caopi was a famous emperor and scholar in Chinese history. He was the second son of Caocao. Because of the death of his brother in a battle, Caopi became the eldest son. Caopi became the king of Wei later, and he established his own empire in the same year.Caopi was a emperor whose accomplishments of politics and military were not outstanding, but as a scholar he achieve a great deal of accomplishments in verse, fu and prose.Today we only see 28 fu of Caopi, most of which were produced in the period of Ye. The topic of his fu was extensive, including substance, sentiment and the depiction of scenery and tour. He inherited the describing method of Han Dynasty and at the same time he innovated. In his fu he described war, hunt, chess, game, flowers and so on, so he expended the topic of fu. In his fu he always express his inner emotion gently and hotly. Most of his fu had natural words and unrestricted form. His work is important in the process of change of fu. Caopi explored the structure of fu. Now the number of sao style sentence is 104, which is included in seven structures. The number of verse style sentence is 380, which is included in five structures. All of these are representations of author's effort in form.Caopi was different from many other monarches, because he wrote to other people himself. Now the number of Caopi's letter is 36. All of his letter is divided into four types. His letters not only Display Wei and Jin Dynasty's common inclination with naturally unconventional prose, but also have his own unique lucid and elegant characteristics . His letter is lyrical in atmosphere, forthright and sincere . Some letter express one's ideas in language naturally. More of his letters have a characteristic of obvious Pian style with four or six sentences, and he Have used a large number of allusions. Caopi played a role in adding fuel to the flames on Pian's gentle great development later." classical thesis " is representatives of Caopi's thesis. This book was written on Caopi's period of crown prince. This book amounts to five Vol. Modern's studies on this book are mostly focusing on it's literature theory thoughts, but this book also has a characteristic on the writing tactics. He often explained his own suggestion directly in his thesis, The writing way of this book was the same as writing way of the Eastern Han Dynasty. This book is a collection of thesis about political at that time, and it can be divided into a lot of parts. In the preface of this book, Caopi has narrated his deed in all his life. The literary style of this preface is very unique and distinct very much, so it cause to imitation by later generations. The structure of this book is intact, tight and brief. His thesises about historical person are very unique too, and they have a very great impact on historical articles in later age.
