The researches of this paper try to get rid of such blindness: people always pay attention to the process and contribution of early-staged Wang Guo-wei' introducing the West Philosophy and idolizing theories of Kant and Schopenhauer, but ignore his carding, estimating, criticizing and praising the traditional culture and his series practices of trying to inheriting and developing the traditional culture in the same period; through the research above, the paper want to have a thinking about the cultural choice in today' post-colonized context and about how to break away from the dilemma of losing one' own cultural identity. On the other hand, only when we keep track of pioneers' traces can we really judge whether we make progress, whether the time make progress, and get beneficial revelations from the review and thought. Though the most excellent achievement of the whole Wang Guo-wei' life is in Historiography he achieved in his late stage, we can see the master style in his study of his early stage already which can't be ignored and manifested not only in his familiarity with Chinese ancient Classics, his perspicacious inspire about it, but in his diligent pursuing of the West Philosophy. Opening his eyes and experience to the outside culture, his stand is still the culture tradition of his own nation. His wish is developing Chinese ancient philosophy ; his care is whether the Chinese academe has a bright future. Campared with cultural conservatism, the speciality of the early-staged Wang Guo-wei' attitude about the Chinese traditional culture is, while trying to carry on and develop the traditional culture, the early-staged Wang Guo-wei has an open attitude about the outside culture, and does his best to revolute the learning form all of the ties which have no direct relations with the learning and protect the independence of the learning. Such attitude is more beneficial to recognize the tradition as it really is and to the resuscitating and developing of the tradition. The revelation of the conclusion is: while we open our eyes and experiences to the outside culture, we must take our roots deeply in the cultural tradition of our own nation. While we know the fact that any acceptance and interpreting is restrained by the pre-view and pre-structure, we must have the vigilant consciousness of taking our root deeply in the culture tradition of our own nation to keep our own culture identity, and quest wit culture strategy actively to handle with and carry out culture communion.
