Wang Guowei's and Lu Xun's poetics in the basic language state of 《人间词话》)and 《摩罗诗力学》)has the most remarkable characteristics of "double ambiguousness" in the history of the modern Chinese poetics. In the interior of their poetics simultaneously exists the "double ambiguousness" in agreement with the thinking state of the age in which they lived and their cultural identification. The "double ambiguousness" can state the "tune complicacy" in a sense. The poetics in the "double ambiguousness", based on the experience of their life and emotion, almost shows their similar thinking manner and cultural motive force. There exists a profound agreement in their inner temperament and spirit. The connotation and tension shown by the "double ambiguousness" constructs the basic trend in the course of development of the modern Chinese poetics, and marks the possible range and rich degree it owns. The paper clearly exposes the theme, objective and implied meaning in the mutual explanation of the way of thinking in their poetics and the comparative description of it. The paper also offers a more suitable viewpoint and deeper way of explanation in the discussion of the "double ambiguousness" and "consistency" of their poetics, and even the choice and significance of the academic thought. The paper is divided into 5 chapters, added by the "spare opinions," 6 chapters in all. Chapter One, "Introduction," tells the premise, basis, and mission of "the mutual explanation of Wang Guowei's and Lu Xun's poetics," shows the so-called "double ambiguousness" and "tune complicacy," and discusses how to need from "opposite annotation" to "mutual annotation." Chapter Two describes the original intention of whichthey chose literature and the basic tentative idea of the nature, function, and significance they had, and analyses the concrete meanings of the "idea power" and the "realm", and the '"useless use" and the "disuse use" in the discourse of their whole poetics. Chapter Three approaches the flushed color of the emotion of their poetics and their thinking and behavior ranged by "society" and "two societies", thus stipulating the experience in the fundamental objective, emotion and life, which decides the importance of the comparative theory andthe logical history of cognition. Chapter Four discusses in which state and condition their poetics and poetics practice can go to aesthetic tendency and alienation, and their theory and practice themselves show the plight and its display of historical and cultural origin and its discourse of the age. Chapter Five probes into the cultural identification and stand of the basic nature and look of their poetics, and the nature of the "just introduction" from which it is difficult for them to escape and of the "paradox" in the discourse stand. The "spare opinions" puts forward my superficial understanding that their poetics is not pure knowledge, nor pure aesthetics, but closer to a science relating to "establishing one's idea" and "behaving" and "literature" and "composition" in symbiosis with "knowing", "behaving", "experiencing", "man", and "culture." It is not enough to call Wang Guowei and Lu Xun pure writers and scholars. They are the greatest learned men and pioneers at the highest point of the modern spirit of China in the world.
