Pearl S. Buck, a recipient of Noble prize, was an American woman who had lived in China for about forty years. She was one of the earliest writers who had worked hard for the communication between China and the Western in early 20th Century. Compare to the other writers, Pearl was the earliest one who had realized the possibility of the communication between China and the Western and had worked a lot for it, and she was one of the earliest writers who had objectively realized the relationship between the western and the eastern. Whether on historic or realistic view, Pearl S. Buck gave the descendants inspiration. In this paper, we analyze some novels of Pearl's, such as The Good Earth, Exiled East Wind-West Wind andthe Pavilion of Women. From Pearl's works, we know that Pearl had introduced "A Dynamic China" to the West, had thought about the problem about the society and the culture of China. I think although Pearl had some mistakes in her introduction, but the idea of "Double-orientation Communication" is significance.
