On The Musical Education For Non-music Majors In Normal Universities

Since the last decade of the 20th century, great changes have taken place in Chinese Educational system and environment. "Quality Education" has become the ideology and action in the whole education. As an indispensable part of the Quality Education, Musical Education has been playing a very important role in the development of the making of the students. In the last 10 years, quality education and artistic development of the college students have been increasingly paid attention by the authorities of each institutes of higher learning in China. The comprehensive qualities of college students have been increased. However, compared with other educational courses, artistic courses need to be strengthened and improved.In this paper, based on the functions of musical education, the general musical education for non-music majors in the teacher's universities is probed in the following aspects:I, the position and role of the general musical education in the development of the making of the normal college students;II, the situation of the general musical education for non-music majors in the normal colleges;III, approaches and countermeasures to improve the general musical education for non-music majors in the normal colleges.
