Research On The Reality And Reliability Of WuDiBenJi Of ShiJi

The WuDiBenJi is the first chapter of Shiji; it has very important research value not only in pre-historic research but also in civilization origin of ancient China and formation of forepart state.There were different standpoints on the historical data of BenJi in the circle of historians. Four aspects of BenJi have been researched to demonstrate the reality and reliability from point of view of textual research references, historical data and lately materials of archaeology found on the basis of its value and research progress.1 . Introduced the main content and reference source of WuDiBenJi in the first chapter: The chapter introduced the main content of WuDiBenJi and compared the main content with others correlated references before Qin dynasty in order to seek for the origin of all those materials and demonstrated its reliability.2. WuDiBenJi and WuDi Lysenkoism: The reasons produced of all different Lysenkoism concerning WuDi were analyzed in this chapter, and finally we demonstrated the WuDi Lysenkoismis of BenJi is the best one in reliability.3. The reliability of all persons introduced in BenJi: the results from mainly research concerning representative story of BenJi with reference and archaeology methods demonstrated that not only the persons were true but also they lived in the era formed early state and originated the civilization of forepart China.4. WuDi BenJi and WuDi pedigree: The chapter mainly research four pedigrees of WuDi introduced in correlated references with comparison methods. We found that the structure of four pedigrees of WuDi is very similar, but there is still a little difference in its concrete content. On the basis of above-mentioned work, we analyzed problem of the pedigrees of BenJi argued by historian from historic background and ethnological point of view, and finally, we demonstrated that pedigree of BenJi is not absolutely relations of flesh and blood, and that is the relations of differentiation during tribe development. Therefore, the content of WuDiBenJi is rational and reliable.In a word, the content of WuDiBenJi is rational and reliable by above research results. If history researchers scientifically understand it, it should be very valuable data not only in pre-historic research but also in civilization origin of ancient China and formation of forepart state.
