Theory And Practice On George Lukacs' Literary Or Art Criticism

All sorts of thought influenced Lukacs. But it was a main thread that he believed and praised highly the Marxism in his thought development. He studied Historical Materialism, Dialectical Materialism and Dialectics of the Marxism, moreover, he had profound and original view. He tried to comment on writers, literary works and trends of thought in literature and art with Marxist literary and art position as criterion. In these commentaries, some agreed with the Marxism, some deviated from it. He scored great successes and at the same time he made serious mistakes. In this thesis, I rearrange and evaluate his viewpoints on his literary or art criticism of theory and practice. I discourse on the subject from three aspects. First, I introduce important status of Lukacs' theory and practice on literary or art criticism. But it is not enough for studying Lukacs in educational circles. Second, I rearrange and evaluate theory and practice on criticism that is affected by Historical Materialism, Dialectical Materialism and Totality Theory. At last, I remark on Lukacs' theory and practice on literary or art criticism additionally.
