Of course, the change of Mao Zhedong's mind did not have no basis, but had its real cause of social historical background and ideological theory. It reflected definite historical necessity of the discontinuance of the social stage of the New Democracy. Social historical background included home situation (the decision factor of change of Mao Zedong's mind) and international situation(the secondary factor of change of Mao Zedong's mind).The change of the social historical background resulted in the change of Mao Zedong's ideological theory, and the changed ideological theory directed the change of social practice. The change in Mao Zedong's ideological theory related to the influence of the ideological theory that had been formed. First, it was Russian transition period's theory. At last, it was some unclearness and uncertainty of the social theory of the New Democracy itself. It made Mao Zedong have to change it in carrying out the thoroughgoing principle of the theory. The reasons above on ideological theory reflected certain subjectivity of the discontinuance of the New Democracy.There is both includes and distinguish from each other between the social stage of the New Democracy and transition period. They can be said to be two imaginations and programs which were almost the same but a little different towards socialism. The similarity between them is: First, they have the same transition; second, they have the same way to socialism; and third, they have the same planned time to socialism. The difference among them is: first, the view of the main contradiction and task changed; second, the attitude and the policy towards the system of ownership economic of non-socialism changed; and third, the starting point of time and working steps towards socialism changed.New Democracy stage and socialist primary stage are two social economic forms of two historical stages. It is difficult to say that the imagination of New Democracy is the primary basis of the theory of the socialist primary stage. From the socialist developing history, there were only the theory of socialist product economy but not the theory of socialist commodity economy at that time; The industrialization then as the standard of socialize construction was the single index-the output value in industry is 70% of the total output value in industry and agriculture, and was not the composite index of the theory of socialist primary stage. Therefore, it was impossible that the task of industrialization, commercialization, socialization and modernization of production could be fulfilled even if the New Democracv wasperformed downright for 20 year, but the above task can be performed in 100 years in the socialist primary stage. The theory of New Democracy of 1950s was less abundant and deeply than the theory put forward in the 1980s based on the recognition of the socialize primary stage. It was not scientific to design the blueprint of 1950s from the recognition in theory of 1980s.
