On Jiang Zemin's Thought About All-round Development Of Human Being

The thought of all-round development of human being is an important part of Marxist theory and also the important content emphasized repeatedly by Jiang Zemin in <> . Jiang Zemin has renewed and developed the thought of all-round development of human being based on carrying forward the thoughts of authors of Marxist classics.This paper looks into Jiang Zemin's thought of all-round development of human being in three parts. The first part analyzes the epoch background of forming Jiang Zemin's thought of all-round development of human being in following respects: the tidal wave of economic globalization surges to us, the thought of "Three Represents" penetrates into our heart, the total level of a well-off society has been achieved, the socialism market economy system has been basically established. The second part describes the main contents of Jiang Zemin's thought of all-round development of human being: (1) The concept of all-round development of human being is an unification of multiple connotations: the all-round development of human being is an unification of individual development and whole development of human, an unification of material life development and ideological and spiritual life development, an unification of ideality and realism, an unification of target and course, an unification of purpose and means. (2) The all-round development of human being is an essential requirement for construction of socialist new society: the all-round development of human being is a socialist essential stipulation, a socialist value target, an important embodiment of socialist superiority, an important task of socialist modernization construction and a necessary condition socialist development and advance. (3) The all-round development of human being has the inherent identitywith construction of social civilization: construction of material civilization is a basic precondition for promoting all-round development of human being, construction of spiritual civilization is a central link for promoting all-round development of human being, construction of ecological civilization is a rational selection for promoting all-round development of human being and construction of political civilization is a fundamental guarantee for promoting all-round development of human being. (4) The mutual relations of the all-round development of human being and the all-round development of society: on the one hand, the all-round development of human being and all-round development of society are mutual precondition. The all-round development of society provides necessary basis and activity environment for the all-round development of human being; the all-round development of human being provides principal condition and force headspring for the all-round development of society. On other hand, the all-round development of human being and the all-round development of society are promoted mutually. The all-round development of society promotes the all-round development of human being, conversely, the all-round development of human being also promotes the all-round development of society.The third part reveals the important theoretical and practical meanings of Jiang Zemin's thought of all-round development of human being: theoretically, it enriches and develops the theory to build socialism with Chinese characteristics as well as heightens the cognition of socialism to a new level; practically, it will greatly enhances the principal consciousness of people, inspires the innovation spirit of people, promotes the construction of manpower resource ability and speeds up the course of socialist modernization construction in our country.The second part is the main part of this paper.
