Translation study is closely related to hermeneutics, which provides it with philosophical thinking models. With these thinking models, diverse approaches to translation study come out, whose argument focuses on objectivity in the text interpretation. Behind the argument of those approaches is the conflict over objectivity between methodological hermeneutics and philosophical hermeneutics. This paper analyses the argument about objectivity between traditional translation study and deconstructive translation study prevailing currently, then fundamentally reveals the cause of their disagreement ?counter conflict over objectivity between methodological hermeneutics and philosophical hermeneutics, and finally demonstrates Marx's practical hermeneutic theory on objectivity in the text interpretation in the attempt to apply it to translation study.
