The paper describes the developing form of the Chinese Landscape Painting, meanwhile it discusses and explores the culture, history, origin of the theory "form, pursuit and reason," and so many implications of the Chinese Landscape Painting.The paper illuminates the opinions that the aesthetic value which the painting have been pursuing and the demand for re-delving into the nature.I. Starting with the humanism of Wei and Jin Dynasty, it exposes the relation between the creation of the painting and the expression of metaphysics. Pursuing the freedom of "spirit", Chinese create the way of Ink and Wash Painting. Its artistic conception becomes a kind of visual and intentional space through observing the nature. With regard to the emphasis of inspiration and appreciation of the works in the past, we should pay more attention to the visual sense of creation nature -that is one of the character of "form, pursuit and reason" in the Chinese Landscape Painting.II. According to the function of the traditional Chinese Mountains-and-rivers Painting, point out the inner-meaning beyond the words. The artistic conception that represent "the wonder" with "science" and the pursuits of both poem and draw are the aim of creation of picture's language. The conception contains the state of coming to nature in the creation, which decides the arrangement of the painting that is differentfrom the west. Its meaning decides the standard of art, the quality of success. The artistic conception that experience the same of thoughts and objects in scene makes us feel the truth of art, leads to some kind of sense, produce the following imagination and symbolical signs.III. It is the unavoidabal way to explore the different forms and originity of ink and wash painting to get to the aim of painting. This essay based on the original character of painting ?taking shapes ,discussed and explored the problem in the relations among the mood ,culture and taking shape. As the medium between subject and object, Ink and Wash Painting is to show and demonstrate the mountains and rivers, also the original spirit if the free mood realized.IV. Drawing mountains and rivers painting needs making research on nature. The understanding of nature decides the direction of the painting. Nature enlightens the painting on the intention, which should also return to nature. This is the origin of the landscape painting, also the facing direction of development in intentions, visual sense, implication of forms. By means of drawing a painting from nature and directly making research on nature to show the painting from the personal life's experiences and feelings and the method is further explored and pursed.Chinese painting inherits the traditional culture, "behavior follow suit the knowledge". By means of the past painting signs and the nature scene, we can find the starting point of traditional Chinese painting: the character ofscene that suits to the form can be selected to make a vague direction. Meanwhile, turning the ancient course to the nature, can not only revive the excellent traditional landscape painting, but also improve the ability of observing the nature. The implications and realities of landscape painting will be endless. In any sense, drawing a painting from nature is the most outstanding method in both forms and intentions.
