| This subject is decided on the "tenth five" social scientific subject guide of China-----rural construction during the Republic of China and the actual condition of the Guangxi. China has been dependent on agriculture from ancient times. The rural problem is the main problem of china. The study on rural construction during the Republic of China will deepen to the understanding of Chinese history of the 20th century and offer the historical basis of solving the concrete problem for the village problem, the agriculture problem and the peasant problem at present. Regarding the study on the rural construction during the Republic of China,there are more academic fruits of studying on the rural construction of Liangshuming and Yanyangchu at present, but study to the rural construction of Republic of China insufficiently. There are more theses and works related to the New Guangxi Clique. The Guangxi's rural construction movement is a more extensive and huger project and relevant theses and work have only studied the content in a certain respect for different purpose or the space is limited. The author study to the rural construction movement of Guangxi synthetically and research to the field no studying from the political, economical, military cultural respect using history study method. the author study to background course and result of Guangxi rural construction movement systematically, thoroughly and deeply, and clarify the clue and the historic feature of rural construction in that period. On the other hand the author summarize the character of Guangxi s rural construction movement, comparing it to the others, and comment on the impact of it, using the modern theory. This thesis is divided into eight parts altogether: The first part:the bacgrand analysis of Guangxis rural construction movement.at the begning of 1930s,the main sign of the decline of the rural econemy of Guangxi was as follow: 1, the land issue was serious; 2, the rural finance was exhausted; 3, peasants lived poverty-stricken; 4, agricultural production backward. the main reason of the rural economy decline of Guangxi had several factors, for example,1, the invasion of imperialism; 2, the decline of the squire class and the corruption of the rural power; 3, the land was centralized to the squire's class for the feudal land ownership; 4.the natural and man-made calamities have destroyed agricultural production . The second part: the thought of the New Guangxi Clique rural construction. At first the author discuss the relation among the rural construction, the three peoples principles and the three fold policy ,and think that it is the goal of the New Guangxi Clique's rural construction that making Guangxi self-defense ,self-government and self-sufficiency and attaining to the goal of the three people's principles at last. The plan of New Guangxi Clique rural construction is divided into four parts: political construction, economic construction, cultural construction, military construction .The three fold policy is based on the three people's principles while it is more similar to the other local self-government theory. The third part: Administrative construction of village of Guangxi. Before the New Guangxi Clique ruled the guangxi, the organization of Guangxi's village had been imperfect and the government had been relatively weak to control the village . At the beginning of 1930s, the new Guangxi Clique begang to implement modern administrative systim, such as building up rural governmental organization, registering household, registering personnel, registering land, improving the custom ,developing traffic ,etc .Administrative construction of village the regime of new Guangxi clique strengthed its control to Guangxi village. The fourth part: The rural economic construction.The New Guangxi Clique paid more attention to the rural problem and has took a series of measures to revitalize rural economy during its ruling Guangxi .
