A Study On The Regionalism Of Guangxi During The New Gui Clique Period

Regionalism was a political characteristic at the late Qin dynasty to the early Republic of China which was being on the Chinese political transition and economic transformation time. On the political collapse of the late Qin dynasty to the early Republic of China, the development of local politics and economy were unbalanced, the relationships of them which lead to the rise of many Local Powerful Groups who relied on the military power to establish the local authorities at some places. These Local Powerful Groups acknowledged the central government, but always formed the contradiction and the resistance with it which tried to reconstructed the highest authority and the ideal of centralization principle, the relationships of them were nor intimated but nor separated. Regionalism formed by the decentralization system is an important phenomenon on the Chinese history, when the course of resisting with Chiang Kai-shek's central regime which being ruled the whole country in name for holding the independent development of GuangXi, it was especially outstanding in the new Gui clique's ruling time, and had significant and profound influence to Guangxi and even the whole country at that time.Learns from history, the author initially discusses the regionalism of the new Gui clique's ruling time, Which not only could reflect the condition and the characteristic of the modern China and the Guangxi society development from lateral profile, but also has a positive and realistic significance for us to deal with the relationship between the central and local governments, and eliminate the regionalism fundamentally.Base on the predecessor's studies ,this paper combination of the new Gui clique which has produced an enormous impact during the evolvement of the Republic of China and regionalism to analyze. under the specified historical circumstance background ,this paper is trying to give a specific analysis to this historical phenomenon and community that the new Gui clique and regionalism .Form the perspective of central-local relationship to investigate the activity of the new Gui clique, and the new Gui clique is used to illustrate and discussed Regionalism in those days .Key discusses The new Gui clique to govern the Guangxi time the localism thought and the behavior performance and develops the influence to the society which vicissitude produces, And tries hard through with Guangdong, the Shanxi place real power faction's comparison, inquired about its characteristic and appraises.
