A Study On Literary Ideology Of Liu Zaifu In 1980s

In new period, Liu Zaifu is famous for his theory on character and subjectivity; he is one of the most important critics. So, when we talk of criticism of new period, we shouldn't omit Liu Zaifu. This thesis is just based on his theory on character and subjectivity. By reviewing his theory in 1980s with a current view , I try to draw a more objective conclusion on literary theory of Liu zaifu and new period.The body of my thesis includes three parts. Part one is mainly about new interpretation on topic "literature is based on human". By analyzing changes of this topic since the foundation of P.R.C, I study Liu Zaifu's contribution to this topic and his limit. Part two is about Liu Zaifu's opinion on character, including the basis of the theory, main content, and the reason it is concerned. Part three is the core of my thesis, mainly including the history of subjectivity; the reason Liu Zaifu concerned it, his attitude on this problem, the main content of his theory on it and debates on it at that time. At the end of my thesis, by analyzing enlightenment, I think because Liu Zaifu insisted on rational enlightenment; he couldn't make further development.
