She further explores the relation of women and literature, and puts forward her distinctive idea about feminism, embodying in her works to which the later feminists attach the importance .She wins high recognition in literature history of England.This paper expounds Virginia Woolf s distinctive feminist idea and how it comes into being with her famous works like To the Lighthouse, Orlando, The waves ect, opposing to Elaine Showalter and Julia Kristeva's idea of Woolf s misreading. This paper puts forward the idea of mixing the consciousness of both male and female through the contents and forms of Woolf s works, and raises three aspects of the characteristics of her novels so as to point out thai the images written by Woolf are independent, not created in accordance of the standard of men's value.
