Tang Taizong's Administrative Thoughts

The influences of Tang Taizong's political thoughts are far-reaching. A great deal of concerns has been paid to it in the academic circles, but people lost sight of Tang Taizong's thoughts of running a country, especially the thoughs reflected in ZHEN GUAN ZHENG YAO. In this thesis, the author try to make a overall systematic analysis about Tang Taizong's thoughts of running a country and discuss the cause of how it form, the influence of this thought. About the research approach, the author based on the book, ZHEN GUAN ZHENG YAO, referred to XIN TANG SHU, JIU TANG SHU and ZI ZHI TONG JIAN, and used Marx's historical materialism and dialectical materialism principle to discuss Tang Taizong's thoughts of running a country This thesis can be devided into three parts. In the first part, the author probed into the reason why his thoughts had formed, and pointed out that it was based on the social background, cultural continuity, Tang Taizong and his men' practice at that time. The second part was devided into five small matters according to the order of choosing the right person, administing the local officials, accepting any advice, reassuring the public and making laws. In this part, the author pointed out that Tang Taizong's thoughts of running a country has its integrality and system. In the third part, the author analyzed the meaning and influence of the thoughts. At the last of the thesis, the author gave a new localization to Tang Taizong, and pointed out that he is an outstanding political thinker in Chinese feudal history.
