With the accelerating globalization, fast-developing science, technology and economy, gradual enforcement of market access principle in international service trade domain and furthering of opening up in China, film and television industry and their market, as the important section of China cultural industry, have been facing great pressure from the competition in the world market. As the main content of art economy, film and television industry will not only bring much change to the operational rules in film and television market, but also demand the renovation in both practice and theoretical research.Firstly, elements for art as the industry and some problems faced during the development of domestic art industry, especially film and television industry, have been illustrated. Then, after the concepts of film and television products are explained, status quo of domestic film and teleplay market is closely analysed. This is followed by the elaboration of the rationale and operation of marketing for film and television products. Finally some feasible suggestion is put forward for the current situation in the filed.
