Study On The Problem Of Proportion And Scale In Interior Space

Recently, more and more attention has been putting on aesthetics of architecture space. According to the prevalent misunderstanding on cognition and practice, along with the improperly in many design works, the thesis begins from the research of the proportion and scale, finding out that in the architecture space construction, proportion and scale are not only the basic elements, but also playing important roles, thus an unabridged design process from theory to practice could be built, after that the context between those aesthetic rules and design practice has been made, a reasonable design process which from theory to practice will be built, after the context between those aesthetic roles and design practice has been made.Firstly, the thesis defines the concept of proportion and scale, and then it discusses series aesthetic standpoints in the field of architecture art. However, in order to understand those points of views, the context between proportion and scale should be well known.Secondly, based on the knowledge of philosophy, psychology, architecture, philology, and with the method of comparison, the concept and context of proportion and scale in space, and the relationship between the entire space and the two elements will then be discussed.According to the analyze on the relationship between various kinds of form elements and visual elements, combines with some successful art of interior design, this thesis will then point out that designers should analysis proportion and scale in different cases. Since the aesthetic of interior space is a profound subject, this paper will focus on the cognition in the design practices and the research in major principles, discussing apply and development in these field.
