The problem of the Qin-Han servant-maids is related to the division of ancient Chinese history and the social nature of Han Dynasty, so its significance is very essential. For ages, through the exploration of this problem, people have been attempted to unveil the actual panorama of the politics, economy, and military affairs etc.of Qin-Han Dynasty, especially Han Dynasty ,in order to reslove some relevant issues efficiently. Based on the existing research fruits with factual material, this article presents some immature views, for indication only. This article is divided into three parts: introduction, text and conclusion. The introduction systemically reviews and summarizes the research on the Qin-Han servant-maids for the recent 80 years, and also points out the existing problems and prospects the research trend in the future. The text includes the first, the second and the third chapters. The first chapter makes some supplementary explanations about the issues on the business, the registered permanent residency and the use of the servant-maids of Qin-Han Dynasty in the previous research, and connecting with the archaeological materials, the second chapter chiefly dissertates the legel status of the Qin-Han servant-maids. This chapter is divided into seven sections: the servant-maids committing crimes, the sex relations of the servant-maids, the marriage of the servant-maids,the outlet of the servant-maids,the sons and daughters of the servant-maids and the housemaster accusing their own sons and daughters that were others' servant-maids. Thereinto, the crimes of the servant-maids includes: the servant-maids stealing things, the servant-maids blowing and cursing, the servant-maids escaping, the servant-maids accusing their own masters, the servant-maids killing their own masters and the relations between the servant-maids committing crimes and the masters, and is compared with the related aspects of the Tang dynasty roughly. The third chapter is made up of three sections: the life of the Qin-Han servant-maids, the social cnocepts of Qin-Han Dynasty and the review and narration of the policy of Han Danasty. And the third section includes the policy of Western Han Dynasty and the policy of Eastern Han Dynasty. This chapter primarily explores the social status of the Qin-Han servant-maids with respect to the living and the social concepts of the Qin-Han servant-maids with the social background of Han Dynasty. It indicates that the living condition of the Qin-Han servant-maids was very low as a whole.Though there are servant-maids that did evils by flaunting their masters' powerful connections and were entirely the tools to commit crimes for their masters indeed, the number of that is small. The class of the servant-maids was exposed to oppression. Many facts show that the servant-maids in Qin-Han Dynasty, especially in Han Dynasty, were exposed to discrimination widely and were the symbol of humbleness. Though a lot of laws to absolve the servant-maids were passed by the governors of Han Dynasty, such as Liu Bang and Liu Xiu, they were mainly tendentious measures and strategies that hooked in the people' s morale and blew the enemy to assort martial strive in unstable society. However, it is true that the laws were of significance. These may be regarded as the outstanding things in this article. The conclusion roundly summarizes the discuss of this article and emphasizes the significance of the research on the problem of the Qin-Han servant-maids.Due to the lack of the material and the limit of my ability, I can not solve the problems more efficiently any more. Some opinions are ridiculous inevitably and make a laughingstock of themselves before experts. In a word, if people want to make more success in this field they must explore this problem unweariedly in the future.
