The traditional instrumental music teaching takes the priests and disciples succeeding one another, individually teaching as the main teaching form, it has many obvious merits, but also has many non-scientific tendencies. In the recent two decades the enthusiasm for children instrumental music which emerged in China, enormously promoted the music universalization, and has trained a large quantities of music reserve talented person. But there are also many erroneous zones and abuses. Today we are advocating all-around development, the instrumental music teaching also should be humanistic, emphatically raises students' synthesizing capacity, the solely arid teaching way should be changed, we should take the teaching method which is suitable for the students' demand and development. The Orff music teaching method system, which is originated by the contemporary Germany renowned composer, the child music educationalist Karl Orff( 1895-1982 ), inherited and developed by many other experts, takes "elemental music" as own marking, follows the law of children's body and mind development, conforms to the children's cognition characteristic, bases on the receptivity of children, from reciting enters the rhythm teaching, unifies the bodily movements to carry on the rhythm training, raises children's performance ability and creation ability by the use of percussion instruments, carries on the integrated training to children with the help of game, performing, atlas appreciation, language reciting, music story, "the human body music instrument", "rhythm cornerstone", art dancing, composing staff reading and many other various teaching forms and method, becomes a universally acknowledged outstanding music teaching method.With widely studies and thoroughly theoretic research, the author aimed at the disadvantages which exist in the traditional and spare-time instrumental music teaching, melted the Orff teaching method and other excellent music teaching methods into the instrumental music collective class, carried on lots of teaching experiments and has obtained good teaching effect, summarized some effective concrete operating procedures, achieved the anticipated research goal. Also accumulated examples and materials for the further system research of instrumentalmusic teaching method.This paper is mainly divided into two major parts. The first part is the brief and to the point expatiation of the Orff teaching method and some other excellent music teaching method. The second part , with actuality analysis of instrumental music teaching and summarization of the Orff teaching method localization, emphatically introduced the preparation, implementation and effect of instrumental music collective class teaching experiment carried out by the author, including effective teaching plans and examples such as music theory learning, rhythm training, hearing training, skill training, music performance ability raising, creativity raising and other synthesis qualities raising and so on. In the conclusion of this paper, through thinking about the antithesis of the example teaching implementation process and experiment results, the author proposed viewpoints of "melt manifold excellent music teaching method into instrumental music teaching", "the teaching method should suit students' demand and development", "new teaching method and traditional teaching method should mutually seep in utilization" and so on.
