The Flow And Change Of Language Style Of Congwen Shen's Rural Literature

Congwen Shen is a productive rural literature composer in modern literature history, in recent years, the academic circle have been researching on his works and gained plentiful fruit. However, but little has been focused on his language style. The author selects to analyses the language of the works that can represent his characters. Then researches on the source,flow and change of his language style in the selected works. The oral style and essay style are the two threads in this research. And the two styles are not equal in his composing period. From the maro viewpoint, the oral style is gradually decreasing; on the other hand, the essay style is going into maturity. Although the evolvement directions of the two styles are opposite, the final outcomes are the same. In his late stage (at the end of 1940's), his works didn't bear the two styles, it tended to bear baffling, mysterious and obscure modern language style.All in all, the oral style and essay style in every composing stage of Congwen Shen was alternative, reconciling and influenced each other. According to the analysis of the two styles that are not in the same position in his every composing stage, the oral style is contrasted distinctly with the essay style by the author, and the evolvement process is clearly revealed.
