| Because of the theological characteristic of his thought, a lot of scholars understand the thought of Kierkegaard in terms of Christianity. And, Kierkegaard is thought to " lack philosophy of any Ontology in his thought". In addition, his work style is unique. These factors have obstructed Chinese scholar from doing deeper research to the significance of Kierkegaard's thought to Ontology. Really there is no Ontology system in the thought of Kierkegaard, but it has involved the problems of Ontology, and it has great significance to the development of Ontology. So, this thesis attempts to hang the religious theme of Kierkgaard's thought away, in the background of Ontology history, explore the connotation of Ontology in his thought. The thesis consists of three parts besides the preface and the conclusion.Part One: "History and predicament of traditional Ontology" provides an essential theory background for the proposition of thesis. First, the main characteristics of its theory frame are demonstrated by analyzing the history of traditional ontology. Secondly, the theory predicament of ontology is analyzed. Lastly, through proving that meaning world can't be excluding to illuminate the value and significance of discussing Ontology.Part Two: "Kierkegaard's individual existentialism and its significance to Ontology". The first to show the essential characteristic of Kierkegaard's thought -irrationalism that is oppose to speculative philosophy. Secondly to mainly analyze two conceptions, the single individual and existence which Kierkegaard defined them newly. On this basis, he found the theories about three stage of life that is regarded as a dialectic on the existence of the individual. Finally, this part elucidate the significance of the individual existentialism to Ontology in two aspects: (1) Emphasizing the advantage of the conception "Nothingness" on Ontology to overthrow the advantage of the conception "Being" that traditional Ontology endow it. (2)Putting forward the theories of "subjective truth" and "indirect intercourse" to negate the way of intellectualism that is the thought mode of traditional Ontology.Part Three: "Kierkegaard impact on contemporary philosophy" mainly illuminatethe relation between Existentialism and Phenomenology, and the relation between Existentialism and Hermeneutics, through discussing the impact of Kierkegaard to Heidegger and Gadamer, and to show that Kierkegaard has great influence to the contemporary Philosophy and has great enlightenment to the development of Philosophy in the future.The important position of Ontology in Philosophy is self-evident. In Philosophy history, Ontology has gone through Epistemology and Existentialism etc to develop. Perhaps Ontology can end as a theoretical system, but problems of Ontology exist forever. The connotation in Kierkegaard's thought on Ontology is valuable reference to reflecting the problems of Ontology. |
