"The poetic wisdom" is the core concept that Vico put forward and discussed in The New science. He thought the poetic wisdom is the initial wisdom form of human, the imaginary creation is the basic characteristic. The poetic wisdom of Chinese traditional art is a kind of traditional aesthetic spirit that develops itself under the influence of the traditional poetic spirit and the poetic culture in China. It has the mystery and majesty of the divine nature, the nature and romance of the poetry, and the metaphysics and implication of the philosophy. This kind of wisdom displays a kind of sagacity that transcends the logic and knowledge Reading poetic life, promoting the people's existence and development continuously, thus assisting people's "poetic living" on the earth.
