Pre-Qin Taoist Thought And The Internal Canon Of Yellow Emperor

The internal canon of the yellow emperor(abbreviated the internal canon after this) is a holy masterpiece of traditional Chinese medical science . Main part had been edited from the Warring States to Qin and Han dynasties. Although it is an ancient medical masterpiece of China, the whole book involves many aspects as philosophy , astronomy ,ethics and so on, especially on philosophy thought. The internal canon has a total philosophy system that is extensive and profound. So ,through analysing and excavating its philosophy thought, It is very meaningful to know characteristic of traditional Chinese medical science correctly and understand China's ancient philosophy in an all-round way. This thesis talks about the times and background of the internal canon at first.Then it analyses the times of the internal canon through itself and archaeological materials and draws out a conclusion that the internal canon had been written from the Warring States to Wei and Jin Dynasties. The second part talks about the first masterpiece on Taoist "Laozi" at first . It analyses his " virtue","how to live longer " exhaustively. it thus can draw out conclusion that "Laozi "has an important contribution to the book when the ancient doctors edited it at that time. The three part is about "Zhuangzi". This thesis tries to discuss its "taking life into account " thought, "regarding everything as one" thought and mode of intuition thinking that thinking reaches things .Those influence the internal canon profoundly. According to the above, it summarizes "zhaungzi" plays an important role in the course of being edited the book. Finally, this thesis talks about Huanglao thoughts , it is an important part of Taoist during the Warring States Period. The thesis analyses four canons about Huangdi (abbreviated four canons after this) and "Guanzi" four pieces (abbreviated four pieces after this) separately. When discussing four canons about Huangdi and the internal canon, it talks about " Yin-Yang "thought and "Virtue" mainly. The internal canon had absorbed the view that yin-yang is an universe rule. But the internal canon also thinks that yin-yang is the base of man's life. This is a new theory that contributes to the yin-yang theory. With respect to " respecting morality theory", through comparing four canons about Huangdi with the internal canon, the thesis draws out the conclusion that the internal canon respects people's subjective initiative like Huangdi'four canons . This is huge leap about cogniznace. As to four pieces, the thesis discusses the cell line mainly ,and finally draws out that it influenced the internal canon profoundly.
