Research Into The Ethicality Of The High-Tech Weapons

As one of distinct characteristics of modern military affairs, high-tech weapon brings moral conflict between modern technological advancement and survival of human beings. Meanwhile, It also makes them tangled with each other ethically. High-tech weapon means a paradox that holds a complex ethical connotation intensely. Conclusionally, it is more and more important to construct a realistic, perspective and practical weapon ethic system to face such ethical challenges.In this paper, the ethical connotations and moral standards of weapons are elucidated from the point of view of technology, ethics and military strategy firstly. Then the moral crisis brought by weapon development and evolvement is dissected. After distinguishing the hierarchical moral responsibility taken on by politicians and scientists, the moral absentation and ethical puzzle in weapon employment are investigated in detail theoretically and practically. Based on reviews of current ethical regulations and moral challenges in the future, the strategy of weapon ethics development is proposed in the end.Because high-tech, weapons and ethics are popular topics with practicalness and rapid change, the related formal argumentations and descriptive comments are well traded to elucidate weapons ethics. Tedious theoretical definitions and pure phenomenal explanations are discarded methodologically. An innovative combination between technology and military research methodology is archived finally.
