William Faulkner of America is one of important writers in the 20th century. He is considered as "the greatest novel innovator of the 20th century" for his achievement on narrative technique. In order to thoroughly understand Faulkner's works, we must research their narrative characteristics. The paper will aim at Absalom, Absalom! which is one of Faulkner famous works , because both the multiple point of view in the sound and the Fury and the Gothic narrative in Light in August are well used in it.With the help of the postclassical Narratology, the writer of this paper will research Absalom, Absalom!'s, narrative technique from three angles: text opening; unreliable narrators; point of view. Faulkner exhibit human's corner. The writer of the paper expects this paper will help the readers how to understand modernistic novels.
