The e arly y ears o f S howa p eriod b efore t he W orld W ar II is a v ery i mportant period d uring t he modern history of Japan. During this period, a civilized society has been established in Japan, at the same time, the process of modernization of social-life has taken place in Japanese country too. This article studies the transition of social-life during the early years of Showa period. This article shows us a picture of the social-life of the Japanese country during the early years of Showa period, which includes the aspects such as everyday-life, culture, education, amusement, life-idea and life-style. We can see something exciting taking place from this picture. The transition indicates the beginning of the process of modernization in country social-life. This article attempts to give an object evaluation to the transition of country social-life in the early years of Showa period, and to probe into the reasons and impacts of this transition from a new perspective by analyzing the magazine Country Family.
