The Influence Of Sartre's Existentialism's On Kenzaburo Oe's Writing

Kenzaburo Oe, with uppermost honor, stepped onto the stage on which Nobel literature prize would be awarded in 1994. Nobel literature prize gave such comments to him as following: "absurdity of life, unavoidable responsibilities, dignity of human that are philosophic elements Kenzaburo Oe gained ran through all the works. That is his characteristic." Certainly, Kenzaburo Oe's produce was influenced by western culture in many aspects. That influence was also complicated. However, Sartre, which delegated existentialism, is worthy of recognition most. The text uses three parts to discuss Sartre's existentialism's influence on Kenzaburo Oe. The first part starts my study with the background that Kenzaburo Oe accepted Sartre 's existentialism. It is from then Japonic social background and Kenzaburo Oe's personal experience that the text understands Kenzaburo Oe's acception to Sartre's existentialism. The second part hackles the trace of Sartre 's existentialism, which was reflected in "sense of existent absurdity and existent nonentity", "sex—politic consciousness", "free choice" and "spirit of literature and humanitarianism". The third part put emphasis on Kenzaburo Oe's exceeding to Sartre 's existentialism by disusing "push walls over and leave absurdity", "face reality and choose freely" and "kindheartedness makes human amalgamation". I think that Kenzaburo Oe's significance does not lie in his simple illustration of Sartre 's existentialism, but pursuing humanistic regression, advocating human pacification, seeking outlet of soul, consolidating kindness, rebuild humanitarianism spirit and ideal of human spirit homestead.
