Subjective Fit Perceptions consist of 3 different types of fit: person- organization fit, needs-supplies fit, and demands-abilities fit. The past researches found that the 3 types of fit were related to organization- focused outcomes and job- and career-focused outcomes respectively. This study examined the effects of Subjective Fit Perceptions on police's job burnout and the mediating role of coping strategies. The results are demonstrated as following:1. The 3 types of fit were significantly negative related to emotional exhaustion and depersonalization, whereas significantly positive related to personal accomplishment. Person-organization fit and demands-abilities fit could significantly predict emotional exhaustion. Person-organization fit and needs-supplies fit could significantly predict depersonalization. All the 3 types of fit could significantly predict personal accomplishment.2. Positive coping strategies only significantly mediated between demands-abilities fit and personal accomplishment. Negative coping strategies significantly mediated between demands-abilities fit and personal accomplishment, between Person-organization fit and emotional exhaustion, between Person-organization fit and depersonalization.
