Feiming, as a writer who has been negleceted for a long time in the modern Chinese literary history,can't get rid of the destiny of loneliness.This master thesis tries hard to analyze Feiming's provincial novels in the way of narrative study and hope to shorten the distance between Feiming and normal readers.Chapter one focuses on the narrative time and is divided into three parts:the jumping, twisting and cyclical recurrence form of motion of narrative time in Feiming's provincial novels.The writer often goes through different time and space freely,which makes the narrative time seem to be leaping.The twisting form of motion of time is achieved by disproportional arrangement of narrative time and event time.The greatest characteristic of narrative time is that it looks motionless but actually cyclical.Chapter two carries out the narrative view in Feiming's provincial novels.First part is about the use of the omniscient view,limited view and pure objective view in these novels.Feiming is characterized by abandoning omniscient view, though not thoroughly. It only appears occasional and partly.And in most occasions,the limited view is of the first person,but the writer hides his emotions deeply,in stead of opening it to the outside world. This kind of situation is more obvious in his pureobjective view narration.Howerve,Feiming just forsake the writer's feeling in the novels, not the characters',so he doesn't master the pure objective view. The second part discusses the children-view in Feiming's narrative texts.Here we analyze the subjective and objective reasons for Feiming using children-view to wnte.While inspecting the two different styles of recalling narration and supposing narration,the relationship between the children narrator and grow-up narrator is the key point.Charter three probes in the narrative structure.Which one from background,story, and character makes the point decides the structure.In Feiming's provincial novels,the background becomes the most important part unprecedentedly.While the other two tend to be the dependencies which exist only for serving the background.
