A Psychological Perspectivity Of Xiao Hong's Literatures

The thesis, to Xiao Hong ,a writer who have been disputed in the history of literature, attempts to analyze death and harmony which are two great themes produced in her works by using the psychology criticism .And by means of presenting Xiao Hong's experience and thereby proving the influence which society, history and culture have caused to her individual mind ,this thesis also shows her psychology intention and the spiritual development in her literatures .At the same time it constructs an effective way in further understanding of the spiritual mind of female writer living in that period.Not only social history, thought background, her family and character have resulted in tragedy fate of Xiao Hong, but they also have decided Xiao Hong's uniqueness in modern literatures. All of these become a cause that makes Xiao Hong feel lonely, so she would rather look for spiritual reviving and transcending. Besides, special character and personality also become a factor that constructs harmonious mood of Xiao Hong's literatures.This thesis has two main parts and seven branches. The first part takes the death imagery as a subject which is discussed through four psychological ideas. Mood and memory, the common term of psychology in first section act as a role of linking death incidents with choosed subject .In her all life, Xiao Hong has experienced relatives' death like death of grandmother ,mother and grandfather all of which urged Xiao Hong to need affection more extremely. Resorting to anxiety that is an idea of psychology in second section, the thesis shows that a kind of special anxiety about female had exhibited gradually in Xiao Hong's mind when she suffered from reality. Therefore, Xiao Hong intentionally created an style of presenting women's tragedy in her texts. The third section regards body's experiences as a means of showing death experience, which sets up a argument that can explain why Xiao Hong expressed deeply death experience.
