Study On Ba-structure In QiLuDeng

QiLuDeng,the novel of Qing-dynasty writer Li LÇœyuan, generally expressed the Henan dialect in eighteenth century. It contained valuable material for linguistic study. This paper deals with the distribution and some characteristics on the Ba-structure in QiLuDeng. Also, it compares the Ba-structure in QiLuDeng with that in HongLouMeng and RuLinWaiShi. The analogy between the usage of Ba-structure and that of Na, Jiang-structures which occurred in those workers enables me to draw some conclusion on official language in North China in eighteenth century. This paper contains mainly 3 chapters. (â… ):Redefine the grammatical meaning of Ba-structure, by reviewing the discussion of disposal. (â…¡):Make a static description of Ba-structure by the means of exhaustive statistics and analysis. (â…¢):Make an analogy between the distribution on colloquial and written language in QiLuDeng HongLouMeng and RuLinWaiShi. Also a simple description on the difference between different constructional types has been made. At last, I draw a conclusion like that: Although the Ba-structure has a prominent place not only in QiLuDeng but also in the entire official language in North China, its influence varied from dialect to dialect while Jiang-structure had already faded out from spoken language at that time.
