The Research On Comparative Sentence In JiChunTai And QiLuDeng

Comparative sentences are an important part of Chinese grammar research.This paper takes the comparative sentences in the Southern and Northern vernacular novels of Ji Chun Tai(跻春台)and Qi Lu Deng(歧路灯)in the Qing Dynasty as the research object and divides the comparative sentences in them into the equal comparative sentence and the general comparative sentence according to the semantic standards.Then,the comparative sentences in the two corpora are further sorted by the difference of the main comparison markers.Thus,we can get a comparative sentence system of the two corpora.On this basis,the paper analyzes the similarities and differences on the comparative elements in Ji Chun Tai and Qi Lu Deng to explore the characteristics of the comparative sentences in the Qing Dynasty.This paper is divided into five parts.Part one is the introduction which introduces the corpus selected in this paper and explains the research status,research significance,the definition and classification of comparative sentences.Part two is Chapter 1 of this paper which describes and analyzes the equal comparative sentences in Ji Chun Tai and Qi Lu Deng according to the main comparison marks.In the sentence structure,the sentence types used in Ji Chun Tai are more complicated than that in Qi Lu Deng.On the comparative sentence element,the parameters in Ji Chun Tai have a tendency of post-standard,while in Qi Lu Deng they tend to be back on the standard.Part three is Chapter2 of this paper,from the semantic point of view,the general comparative sentences are subdivided into two categories:“superior”meaning sentence and“inferior”meaning sentence.Then,according to the comparison marker classification,the differences in the sentence construction and the comparison elements are compared and analyzed.In the sentence structure,the“bi”(比)sentence and the“buru”(不如)sentence are the most common use cases;On the comparison element,both of the nominal components appear as the comparison parameters.In terms of comparison markers,Compared with Ji Chun Tai,Qi Lu Deng uses more negative words and the negative form of verbs as comparison markers.Part four is Chapter 3 of the paper which briefly compares the differences of comparative sentences between Ji Chun Tai,Qi Lu Deng and the modern Chinese mandarin in the sentence pattern,the comparison mark and the parameter.The final part is a summary of the full text.
